Why? You know the cowl is pretty big and not exactly made for street driving. Visibility (especially to the right) will be greatly reduced. It isn't safe for daily street driving.

Seems stupid to have a huge cowl with nothing under it. Sort of like having a fake hood scoop. |

I do not drive my car every day and I want to do it for one simple reason. I plan on doing a high rise intake like on the copo and need the room so it will clear.
As far as the OEM. There is no way i will pay $2000 for a hood. |

I'm going to actually be of some help here and answer your question.
MPD1 has amazing products using top notch materials. Fitment in all the products are perfect from what I've read. VFN Fiberglass offers good products and competitive prices. Fitment is good to. Look into hardwood industries products. They offer some nice cowl hoods. In fiberglass and carbon fiber and fitment is good Just want to add here. At the end of the day it's your car, your project. Only opinion that matters is yours. Be it adding a cowl hood to a untouched engine or a 6 cylinder. It's yours, do what you want

I have the VFN hood, great fit, very little prep needed for paint.

I customized my Harwood Copo hood to help extract the heat from the turbo.
