Fiat workers call for strike in protest

Interesting article for those who follow real football, not the US abomination.

The abomination is when your employer spends almost 120 million on one person that has nothing to contribute to the company when the lifeblood of your company is told to scrape by and kick rocks.

Yes, the one where you have to be a real athlete and run tens of kilometers and not for 30 seconds then take a break.

And I agree that Fiat should be ashamed of this. I also hadn’t realized Ford sold New Holland to Case which also now part of FCA.

You mean the one where they flop around like children after getting a small love tap?

Yeah, I'll keep watching real football.

This is why I only watch during the Olympics and World Cup. It's a great sport, but the athletes flop far too much.

What I find amusing is that someone is upset about a completely different sport that happens to have the same name is somehow upsetting.

Sorry bout dat.

It’s traditionally the South American players, but unfortunately some European players are doing it now. Issuing yellow cards as stated in the rules would help that.

As compared to American football, you have players from 170+ nations all playing together and no sees fit to protest anyone. Hmmmm. They also have moments of silence after something big, that unlike in the US, no one makes a sound. Including the 40,000+ spectators.

I’ve played both, and soccer is far more athletic.

I'm going to go way out on a limb and say the score in the final game will be 1-0.

Or 0-0 and it goes to penalty kicks.

Wake me up for the penalty kicks, though, because that actually is pretty exciting.

True, but sometimes you get a real wild game like the 7-1 beat down Germany gave Brazil at the 2014 World Cup.

Real Soccer is more boring to watch than Real Golf...

What if GM and Ford went on strike because of trades made by the Tigers, Lions, Red Wings and Pistons?...lol

It's a bit different since the owner of Juventus is also an owner of Fiat. So telling your Fiat employees that times are tough and you can't increase wages then drop $100 million on Ronaldo is a valid reason in my book to strike.
