What is the widght of a 2016 camaro SS wheels?
I am wanting to put the widest tire I can on the back of a Camaro SS but am not sure how wide the wheel is.
I would also like to see pictures of Camaro SS's with wide tires on the factory wheels.

Have you already looked at the wheels/tires tech page?

Wide tires on factory ss wheels isnt a good idea. If you want wide, switch to a different wheel. Also, the factory wheel is a heavy pig. My wheels were much heavier than the ZL1 wheels i bought. And the zl1 wheels were much wider

I guess you didn't understand the question I am not wanting to put a 20 in wide tire on a 9" wheel the question is WHAT is the widest tire that will fit without any problems on the factory SS wheel. That same question could be for a ZL1 wheel as there is a widest tire for ANY wheel size so for the 2016 SS wheel what is the widest tire people have been able to get away with without any problems. rshelar: As for looking at the tire and wheel section, yes I have but I couldn't find year specific info only that a SS rear wheel is 9" so the question I have is are ALL SS wheels regardless of year the same width?

I figured out that a 295/40-20 will fit the factory SS wheel and it looks like it was made for it.
So for anyone else needing to know here you go with no help from any of the people that posted in this thread.

Yes. I went with a 10” wheel with my new 295 rubber but I did not have to. 295 is a nice tire size for the rear and not too pricey.

I know people have put 305 drag radials on stock wheels without issues.
