Cant deal with glare on kenwood - options?
Hi all,
I have a kenwood dmx7706s head unit in my convertible. My understanding is this is a resistive type screen. The glare and reflections makes the screen unusable in sunlight with the top down. It’s to the point where I need to consider something else. I’ve tried adjusting settings and anti glare screens to put on top of it but they don’t work. So now I’m wondering if I could go with a different unit with capacitive screen and yield better results. Something like the Pioneer DMH-2660NEX. Would this potentially fix this problem or is it just something I’m going to have to deal with in a convertible. Thanks for your help. Mike Last edited by DMan918; 02-09-2021 at 11:20 AM. |

I’ve tried other protectors and they don’t do anything. I’ve thought about trying that to see if it may be better than the limited options for the ready fit films.

Well I went ahead and put it up for sale, since it seems there isn't any other option.

It’s already pending. Have it at $300 plus shipping. If it falls through I can let you know. It’s practically new. Thanks.
