How long can I wait?

Installing LT headers with HF cats next week, how long can I go before tuning? am installing on saturdat and have to drive to work 4 days before I can get it done. Is that OK?

You're gonna have to see how it runs. It's not a matter of waiting, it's if it will
run good enough to use. If it drives fine, you can wait as long as needed. If
it won't run right, then you can't really wait. You will have a check engine light.
If you get P0430 and P0420, then the fuel mix will be a little rich. As long as
the car drives. You don't want lean conditions for too long, but 4-days should be
fine.

Yeah you'll be fine, the car will adjust until it goes out of range and can't adjust anymore, but that won't happen.

You should be alright. Just don't go WOT or launch it.

keep your foot out of it. Fuel trims should handle the rest.

You'll be fine as other have said. Stay out of the throttle too hard (tough I know) until you get the tune and then let her rip.

Dont wait too long though, running really rich and allowing unburnt fuel into the cats can shorten their life.

Have you thought about getting a tune from RDP Motorsports/DynoSteve? He's like $400 for lifetime tunes, so for instance, you can get this tune, and then if you get gears in the future you get a free updated tune. Now, he won't do tunes for big cams or forced induction, but otherwise everything else.

I have not, I am going to Tampa Tuning here in Florida. Not gonna do anything else to the car, happy the way it is.

So...you say that NOW...but what happens when you decide to get something else? You'll be paying for a tune again. It's your money. :P
