Making DRL lights switchable on 2SS

My 2013 2SS has DRL(fog lights) on when ever driving in daylight and having lighting switch in "Auto" mode.
Can the DRL's be controlled manually if I change the lighting switch on the dash to GM part #D1543J ?
This has the push on the dial to turn on the fog lights. I believe it to be the standard for RS packages.
Will this interchange on my 2SS dash switch and wiring connector?

My 2013 2SS non RS used the grill turn signal lights as drls. And my fog lights turn on with the center push button. Are your sure yours is not a 2SS RS? And no not just the switch controls that you will need a wire harness also.

I don't think this would work, as I believe the switch is not what controls this, but the BCM. I could certainly be wrong though.

The push dial is for NON-RS models that come with fog lights.

2014-15s 2SS/RS are different also. My 2015 SS/RS uses the halos as drls and has fog lights and switch also.

I have a 2013 2ss. I just used a Dremel and open a small spot on the back. Then I released the tension on the spring. Now the switch keeps the DRL off all the time and I can control when I want it. There are a few threads in archives about where to cut. Just search it.

By the way, if your DRL is your fog lights you have to RS option. You can easily spot it by your roof moldings too. They will be color coded instead of black. Your SS emblem will be red also.

Yes, my 2013 Convertible 2SS is also RS equipped. I've only had this Camaro 3 months and lovin the car, but learning things I'd like to change.
I am just looking for the simplest way to control the DRL(fog lights) manually when I want them on or off, regardless of daylight or dark?
I've yet to experience this situation, but; what if it were foggy after dark? Seems the Auto mode would have headlights on and fog lights off when you want them on.
If I were to buy the switch that is non-RS,(shown earlier) what else would I need?

There is a harness from gen5diy that keeps your drl on all the time, even at night. I also bought the harness that that keeps the halo's on all the time so I don't have to remember to turn the switch a notch to get the halo's to come on during the day.

Do you know if that also works with the DRLs always on harness or is there one that does both? I have the DRL one already, but I would much prefer Halos.

You can also wire the halos direct so they come on with the key.

Does anyone make a LED replacement for the DRL(fog lights) that is just a halo only? I wouldn't need fog lights ever, but would like the look of them being just halos down low there... on 2013 2SS/RS.
So far, all I've found is a stick-on led halo ring from Gen5diy.
I prefer to find a sealed LED fixture, with halo only, that snaps in place of the original and plugs into the harness the same. Is there such a thing?
