The end of manual transmission in the entire Chevy lineup?

Just realized that with the end of the Camaro in 2024, the manual transmission is completely gone from the Chevrolet brand.

Well how else are you going to hold your phone and drive?

No front engine, rear wheel drive "performance" car for the first time in nearly 70 years.

It was pretty simple for me to do 25 years ago. It would be even easier in a modern car with car play. It’s not like you are constantly shifting. You shift for a few seconds and drive

I love my woman, but I’ve speculated this was the downfall of our company. Many of the veterans say that when she took over everything went down the toilet. Although I work for a major corporation so the greed and toxicity is rampant as you would expect.

LOL. Barra became CEO in 2014. GM went down the toilet with an official flush of bankruptcy in 2009. Under Barra's leadership, GM has been profitable since. I'll take her leadership over the "good ole boys" that destroyed the company like slow growing cancer for decades prior.

Although Camaro has a cult following (including Barra, listing it as one of her favorite cars), its lack of sales killed it. It's an expensive car to build, and its cost and price points make it financially infeasible to continue in its current configuration.

But that was before you had to text and check facebook while driving.

2 things.
-Pro-EV side views 'big Auto' as previously sabotaging them with compliance cars, and are using banking/investment and regulation to force gas vehicles to be unappealing compliance things.
-Hitching the pony to the lame ox Cadillac didn't help.

From a stockholder point of view? Sure. As a consumer? Nah I’ll pass

Barra saying she likes the Camaro and killing it doesn't do anything for me or make me like gm and their stupid new logo.GM had balls at one time. Glad my Camaro is stamped GM.

I think that there will still be a few manuals left with a Bowtie. Problem is, they wont be available in the US. Mexico for example will still have manuals available in the S-10, the Onix, and the Nuevo Aveo.
