Not to my knowledge, but when I am driving over 90MPH I certainly feel like it wants to fly.

Number 6000 has disappeared probably never to be found but there is a Corvair w/ a VIN OF6xxxx on display at the Corvair Museum in Ypsilanti, MI. An anomaly if there ever was one since Chevy then as now did not build a vehicle unless there was a dealer order for it.

Laborsmith...my grandfather had a corvair and they lived at Grosse Ile Michigan and worked for GM in the 50's and 60s........I was born in the 50's and I thought that was one cool car....

You guessed it: the last Corvair to actually be assembled, did not start. That was #6000, and it has truly disappeared from history.

laborsmith - memories. Technically speaking my one and only car accident was in a Corvair, when I was 10. Playing in the car, I hit the emergency brake and got it out of gear. I managed to roll it down a short hill, int the side of the house. Not a fun day!!!

My code is RHMS0S(Florida) My status was 3400...Dealer contacted me yesterday saying that my car was being prepared to be shipped, however I also receceived the message below from: Chevrolet Marketing Team...Can someone please give me an update, I am so confused right now.
your order has been placed by your dealership and accepted by Chevrolet. The next step in the process will be the assignment of a Target Production Week (TPW.) However, at this time a TPW has not been established for this order. Our resources indicate there are specifics on this vehicle that are on back order, which are expected to take longer then four weeks to remedy the hold. You may contact us sporadically for updated information.

We appreciate your patience and recognize the high amount of anticipation for the 2014 Corvette Stingray.

Any "word" on whether convertibles are being built at this time? I saw a coupe last week..up front and personal...and it's AWESOME! Cannot wait until verts are in the loop and mine is in my driveway.
