It looked great at the start of the race.

Makes me proud to have my 1LE.

First time in a long time that I actually looked forward to seeing the Pace Car during the race...I noticed it got completely out of sight on a couple of occasions prior to re-starts...haha!

Three. Pace car, back-up, and the one Ryan Hunter-Reay was awarded. They had to use the back-up Corvette for the Grand Prix. I think Rutherford missed a shift and jammed it into too low of gear going into turn 7 about halfway through. Lots of blue smoke and the smell of oil.

LOL, IMS has their hand out to the highest bidder. Ford isn't involved with IndyCar so I doubt we will see it.

Good call, you're correct. Since Hunter-Reays' doesn't have all the strobes it technically couldn't serve as a back-up Pace Car. I hadn't taken that into account.

Indy 500 was the best time ever. I will never again view it in the same way from my HDTV. I got to hang out with Al at the C5 Fest 4 last year in Indy. The Wyndham parking lot was quite the party palace. I've been to Indy the last 3 years and each time it was a blast (2 C5 Fests and 500).
