Mine was replaced in May. All I have is a CAI, Vmax throttle body and headers. I never did get the error codes from the dealership. Now every once in a while my check engine light comes on. So I plug a computer in and it says something with the cats. It clears out and goes away. I've done that a few times now.

They just replaced my ECM. Hopefully no more problems. Feel bad - was in parking lot, car wouldn't start, I'm cursing at car. Dude with new black Challenger 392 parks next to me, dying to know about the ZL1. Of course I was pissed, and told him the danged thing wouldn't start. He walk off saying swear words and Chevy in same sentence. Not the way I like to portray a car I love, and company I support. Oh well! |

Timely, a couple weeks ago at lunch the car shut off. Got the reduced power then service stabiltrack. Check engine light on. Car has power but nothing when I turn key. Set for a bit and started again. Happened two more times. Called Onstar, ran diognistics and came up with either P0610 or P0601. Anyway it all went back to the ECM. Dealer replaced under warranty. Car has 56,000 miles. No problems since.

Just had the ECM replaced last month. Got a check engine light and took to dealer. They replaced under warranty. Its a '12 with 14k mi. Never had any drivability problems. Dealer was great though! Still a little surprising that we have these kind of problems with these kind of cars.

Bad ECM.....No Warranty..?
Have a 2013 with 7500 miles driven in nice weather etc... My 3 year B to B warranty was up in April but isn't the ECM part of the power train? Are you kidding me of course it should be!!!!!
$500 for a new one, picking up Monday, but really ....How can this NOT be considered part of the Power train therefore not covered under the power train warranty? Anybody have any experience in this outside of the 36 month B to B coverage? Thanks in advance! |

The ECM is covered by the federal emissions warranty. 80,000 miles I believe. You should be able to get it replaced for free
