Enhanced Theft Deterrent Package

Ok, I have searched and searched and have not found any detailed information on how the Enhanced Theft Deterrent Package works? I see there is a button next to the "open trunk" button. Do you have to push that button to activate it each time you leave the car?

Since the glass roofs are all that is getting built now has anybody tried those roof shades that stay on with static cling?

If you have a convertible the top has to be up for the advanced theft system to operate. It is so sensitive that ic actually can pick up a leaf that were to fall into the car.

You can set the system to,work with the top down by inserting a plastic Molly socket in the drivers side positioning pin, which closes the switch, no damage done and system now is armed:

Glen,

That looks like a coupe. Do you know if this also works for the vert?

The motion sensors in my C7 work whether the top is on or off, as long as my windows are down and the doors are locked.

It's not supposed to work that way, take the top off , lock the doors and windows down, as long as the micro switch is open, it will not trigger the interior motion detector. This is just the motion detector part. If you have motion detector operation with top off, your microswitch shown above is stuck closed.
