from what I've read, that is for the toe links you mark the bolts. You may need an alignment. Its a just to be safe thing because the alignment COULD be off even if you mark the bolts

Correct. Cost of alignment is Low compared to damaging 2 $300 tires if you miss it. Bmr instructions say to mark it but I think that is just to get it close enough you can drive to the alignment shop....not to skip the alignment..

Be sure to change outside trailing arms bushings. Also search for thread about how to push out the old ones. Gear puller rigged to push it out and impact did the trick. 1st side took me a while but the 2nd went faster..

These are the two must do things that BMR told me when I first got my 1LE and reached out to them.

The arms and links were installed today by a local Corvette speciality shop. I didn't feel comfortable tackling the the install in the garage considering the entire rear cradle had to be dropped a few inches to get the toe links in and the trailing arms had a welded bolt.

Over all, this upgrade is well worth it. The car feels more stable and I have a lot more coincidence when taking a turn with some speed. The rear feels tighter and more planted. Great upgrade.

What? Welded bolt? Mine did not have that... toe links and trailing arms both should just bolt in....

Yeah the inner bolt (closest to the gas tank) for the trailing arm, the bolt was spot welded... Only one spot. I believe BMR has something on that in their trailing arm install instructions.

Also the toe link, it was way too close to the gas tank. I couldn't get a wrench on it. So I took it to the shop. The guy said he had to lower the cradle about 2in to install the toe links. BMR also states to lower the cradle in their install instructions. All I know is I couldn't do it in my garage......i tried.
