I did price one out with the v6 and the TRD package and 4x4 and it came out to around 32k so im sure the Colorado will match or be more than the Tacoma since the Tacoma has been out and not redesigned in a long time. As for the premium the diesel version im gonna guess about 2 to 3k dollars for it. Also I didn't see how much its going to weight so that will matter how good the MPGS are too.
You haven't looked at the LFX torque curve, have you?

I wish they didn't use the squished torque scale on these, but its pretty clear that, aside from a slight dip at 2k, the LFX makes plenty of torque down low & through the midrange. The 'curve' is nearly flat from ~2500 through 6500, and is above what looks like 260 ft-lbs that whole time. And they are going to be tweaking it to make a bit more.

Too bad you can't get the new twin turbo 3.6 in this.......

Anybody guessing price? Premium for the diesel?
Estimated 302 HP @ 6950 RPM and 270 lb ft torque @ 4000 RPM.

Was it said that the Canyon would be getting a special engine? I can't remember, but if true I wonder what we could expect

Wouldn't the 2.8L diesel count as a special engine?

Canyon will be a whole different ballgame though.

Special was worded as exclusive in this case.

Now that's cool. I also read on Motortrend that the extended cab has a rear seat delete option.

That it does.

Just an FYI, Colorado will have a lower air dam similar to the K2XX full size air dam for aerodynamics, however GM says it is easily removable.

AKA GM had to use it for FE purposes but doesn't care if you rip it off after taking delivery.

I was about to reply but you answered it perfectly. Not calling out the person who left the comment, but I see people say that about this engine all the time. Yes it loves to rev, but it is plenty powerful and responsive lower in the rpm range.

The V6 has a great FLAT and broad torque curve. It may not have the torque curve of the 4.3 of course, but it is more than enough to handle this task.

The red Z/71 looks a bit too 'happy' for a truck. Not sure why.

More I see live pics, it screams Toyota to me. I liked the old one better. It just needed up to date interiors. What is going on with GM and trucks these days? They have in one year, came out with the worst looking trucks of all the makes. Ford and Dodge are light years ahead of GM in the looks Dept these days when it comes to trucks. What a shame.
