You have to hand it to Dodge, they have been able to crank out dozens of different models on this 13+ year old platform. I truly wish that they had the finances to engineer a new model. Oh well...they are still selling them to 1,320' fans.

Considering that it uses some Demon parts and will be the new king of SRT cars, expect it to cost north of the Hellcat Redeye Widebody's (what a mouth full), $80k.

considering they're just going to stick to their 1970 styling And a redesign would sell no more than the paid for platform they have, they probably don't care and are laughing that their buyers don't expect anymore from them.

I guess they go by the old "If it ain't broke don't fix it" motto

I love the look of the Challenger I just couldn't buy one because of the weight.

I can run my Camaro through some twisties as its still fairly nimble at 3800lbs.

Although as the used Hell Kitties come down in price I find myself looking on autotrader more and more

They know their market and what their fans want. There is no reason for Dodge to change anything.

Have you ever driven one? Weight...ehhh...it’s got plenty of power to move it. If “handling” is a concern get the wide body. It’s not that bad of a handling car.

It's all relative.

I'm jealous of the way Dodge is able to market this car and keep things interesting.

Yep and they don't really have anything else in their lineup so they kind of have no choice

As I said, in my initial comment: Their finances are in shambles and they do not have the money to engineer a new, lighter model ('Cuda???) that can do more than just go very fast in a straight line. With that being said, they sell a solid amount of Challengers. People that simply want a fast car where they don't have to do anything more than smash the gas pedal to the floor at a stop light will be very happy with this platform. I'd rather have a jack of all trades, a la ZL1 or Corvette...but that is just me.

Different strokes for different folks. That is what makes the world go 'round.
