I agree that the flying Matador was actually kind of cool.
The rotating instrument panel was cheezy though.
Supposedly the street chase scenes in that movie were filmed without official permission and the production crew followed behind with wads of cash to pay off anyone whose property was damaged.
I don't know how true that is but I have heard it many times over the years.
