Try as it may, the Giugiaro Mustang, or anything else cannot compete with this....
I never tire of looking at it!!! |

Another perfect occasion where we need a "WORD" smiley.
I would have given just about anything to have been there for the unveiling. Tears came to my eyes watching it on the puter.. ..laugh if you all may. I really don't care. But the Camaro was back and I knew there was one going to be specifically built just for ME. |

Tag, I felt the same way my friend.
My brother and I were invited to NY to see the concept before the show opened to the public. We just about ran to the display. I spent soooo much time looking at the concept, the security guard seated nearby offered me his seat! We were at the show for about 5 hrs., and I can honestly say I spent more than half my time staring at every inch of the concept. IMO, the Camaro's return is just like the return of a long lost friend. |

Yeah, Lowrider. You are going to find your jaw on the floor. It is amazing.
Moose, when we finally saw it in Dallas, I just stood there. My friends drug me off, but I went back 5 times. That was the whole point in driving 5 hours up to Dallas. I couldn't get enough and can't wait to see it again. Better yet, I can't wait to see the leaked pix we're going to get when the production version begins to get road tested in Australia. Oh, the police officer that was guarding the concept in Dallas didn't have a seat. And if she did, she wouldn't have had the chance to even sit down. She kept having to watch the kids (and the grown ups) to make sure they weren't touching the concept. They didn't have the round rotating display. It was just the rectangular roll up display. Scott was kinda upset he didn't take the round one. I would imagine...it's only a 3 million dollar car! |

Mustang concept
I'm not saying it's ugly ... but even as a french dude ... I do feel weird about a Mustang designed by Giugiaro ... an italian ...
is mustang loosing its soul??? I have mixed feeling about this car ... nice look ... but maybe too european styled ... maybe with changes ... ps: didn't find any subject about this car, if I missed one, I agree, I have to be sent to Guantanamo! |

No, Giugiaro re-designed the Mustang so it was to his own liking. THIS IS ONE OF A KIND, and as far as I know. not going to be produced, he re-fitted everything, personally I don't like it one bit. I'll take my Camaro, rip this thing to sheds in looks and performance, and be proud of it!

Yeah this concept is just some independent effort. This isn't the redesign that is coming.
Maybe a few design cues might be taken from it. Like the more rounded "hips" on the rear panels and probably a more areodynamic front fascia, but that is about it.

This may not have anything to do with this topic, or it might, I dont know. But I was just watching TV and saw a commercial for the 2007 Mustang and how they're coming out with the "Pony Package" since they "Don't have any competition besides themself." That really eats at me. And all the package consists of is 17 inch wheels and a spoiler... wth. I can't wait to get my new Camaro on the road... We'll see what they think about the competition then. Because there won't be any!
