Looking for advice on buying a ‘14-‘15 SS or 1LE

So pissed… the Silver 1LE, my #1 choice, became available today, so I decided to head up to LA during rush hour to get it. Halfway up, the manager calls me and tells me someone else is on the way to get it, too. I’ve never been so mad being stuck in traffic… the other person beat me to the car by 3 minutes…

I’m going to have a hard time sleeping tonight…

These 1LE’s get sold so fast. There have been 3 now that have been posted and sold within a few days. I’m pretty unhappy that I’m probably just going to end up getting an SS.

That sucks a$$! Step back, take a deep breath and regroup. Plenty of car guys have a "one that got away" story. I missed out on a Z in Texas in similar fashion BUT I then found the one I currently have and I couldn't be happier! Don't just settle because it's frustrating and difficult. Once you own that special vehicle it will make all of this wrangling and stress worth it.

The white 1LE is now my #1, but I’m still weary about it with how many miles it has. It’s also a decent drive away.

I did just find a black 1LE with less than 20k miles, with every option I’d want including Recaro’s and NPP exhaust, but he wants $38k. I offered $30k and will probably max out at $32k.

sandiego74, same thing happened to me, I wanted a yellow CamaroGen5 Vert. I wanted a low mileage, non accident car. One dealer said they had one and we were set to look at it on a Saturday. They then screwed me and sold it. That Sunday, my wife had us drive almost 2 hours to look at this "other" CamaroGen5 yellow vert and I loved it. In retrospect, things worked out because little did I know I had to go back to the dealer the next Monday night because my wife said "she wanted to try and talk them down". We get there, my wife asks to use the restroom, about 10 minutes go by(now I'm getting aggravated) and the salesman says my wife is looking for me. I follow him and there they were, my wife and my yellow vert CamaroGen5 with a huge red bow on top(not my wife). My CamaroGen5 has been great, never in a smack up AND when I got home, I had the VIN number of the car I SUPPOSE to buy and the report was horrible. Sorry for the novel, but the other bonus was getting on this forum and "meeting" cool people on this board. The knowledge here 2nd to none. That being said, WAIT. Your Silver CamaroGen5 1LE will come around. Good luck!!!!!

Sorry to hear. Yeah these 5th gen 1le's are really starting to really be appreciated no doubt. I still have 3 dealerships begging me to sell them mine. Also have a couple of individuals that have told me to just let them know when I'm ready to let mine go. I'm betting that here in a few years or so, 50k will be the norm for a nice low mileage one. 👍

Found a red 1LE online that is extremely clean, with less than 40,000 miles for only $28k. Has just about everything I want, so I might be ordering it now before someone else does…

Just waiting to hear from their Contracts team. It should be mine soon! I’m not big on red; it looks fantastic, but it’s so metaphorically loud. Still, very excited!
