Advice needed on 2010 2SS/RS Posting

Hi everyone:

I am selling the car in the following link. I am wondering what you all think it is worth. Is the asking price reasonable? Any tips, advice, and/or opinions on what I should add to, or delete from, the posting will be sincerely appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Kevin

Doubtful you will get close to that...but you never know. Book value on that car is probably right around $19,000. That's what a bank will give someone as a loan. That means $9000 out of the purchaser's pocket. People that have that kind of disposable cash laying around aren't generally looking for mildly modified 2010 Camaros.

Thanks for the feedback! I spoke with my credit union a month ago and they told me according to their book value they would give a loan of 28K for that particular car using the VIN. Their book was a lot higher than 19k. I will check again though, maybe they made a mistake. So what do you think a fair asking price would be?

I am guessing they made a mistake. I just sold my 2010 a few months ago and book was closer to $18,000 on a low mile, lightly optioned 2SS. My car has a TON of mods to it.

Find out what book value is for your area and try to be within a few thousand of that. That will draw the most lookers. The closer to book value you are, the quicker it should sell (and vice versa).

I just checked kbb and book for private party in my area is $22600. It was quite a bit higher when I checked last time. My credit union uses kbb and they give a percentage over blue book. But I see what you are saying. Thanks a lot for the feedback, I truly appreciate it.

There is too much out there choose from esp in that price range. A dealer just sold my old car(in signature) for 26k and it had 12k miles on it. For 28k I'm looking at more modified cars. Looking on the forum you can 2012-2014 2ss for 28 to low 30's. Car is sharp though and I'm sure the right buyer will come along but personally your 4K too much.
