Transmission Swap - Door and Trunk Lock Issues

I did the TR6060 to 4L80E swap, but I would think this applies to a TH400 or TH350 swap also. My car keeps locking me out! This is with the car running or not running while in Park. I think it might be because I don't have the neutral safety switch hooked up, but I am not 100% sure. It also will not let me pop the trunk if the car is running even if it is in park.

Anyone else have this problem? Any solutions (other than "be more careful"...I'm old and feeble minded!)?

I just did a th400 swap in my 2010 from a 6l80 and I have had none of these issues. the only lock problem I have is when I shut the car off it doesn't auto unlock anymore.

Is your neutral safety switch hooked up? I think the 6L80 may be different. I believe (not 100% sure) the reverse and NSS are through the BCM and not the engine management computer.

I do but I just cut the wire to the starter solenoid and ran it to the switch on the shifter. I just ran through some of the threads on here I used and I cant find anything on the wiring for the 6 speed just a bunch of auto wiring stuff.

I appreciate the effort! I will make an effort to hook up the neutral safety switch over the winter and see if that cures my problem. If not, I may try to disable the auto-lock all together. I never had this problem on my 1970's nova...

Thanks! I have been in contact with DietCoke. He has certainly been a big help. He told me he did not experience any of these door lock issues. I guess I am just special...LOL

I did! It was just a setting inside the controller. Once I fixed that, it worked fine.

If you need any help or files to get you started, just let me know. Diet coke sent me some of his files. You just need to adjust them for your throttle voltages and tire diameter and rear gear.

Sweet thanks. All I have left is the trans cooler when it gets here (mine was too big) and the controller install.
