4L80E Swap - Reverse Lights - HELP!

I finally finished up my swap. It only took about 7months! LOL!

The last piece of the puzzle is reverse lights. At first, I had a stock auto shifter, but I hated that. Now I have a nice B&M Pistol grip shifter. It comes with reverse and neutral safety switches that mount to the side of the shifter. I believe they are just simple open/closed switches...but the instructions aren't very clear.

How do I make this switch turn on my reverse lights? I know which plug from the TR6060 was for the reverse lights, but I am not sure how to wire everything up. I am a mechanical engineer by trade, so electrons scare me!!

Same issue with the 6L80e to TH400 swap. I have everything working except the reverse lights and sensors.

How did you wire your speedo? Mine works intermittently. I'm assuming the wheel speed sensors are kicking in/out.

I have my speedo output of the tci tcu going INTO the ecm on pin 71. Is this correct?

Mine seems to work fine all the time. I compared it with my GPS unit and within 2 mph, it is accurate. I didn't pin any speedo output from the TCU plug to the ECM.

Dave Steck has created a plug and play harness for the 4l80. He might be the guy to touch base with for solutions to these issues.

Ive heard you can enable the wheel speed sensors in the tune for speedo output. This would be great lol...

I haven't driven mine yet...but this is how I did it. DietCoke advised to do it this way. I have heard of the wheel speed sensor trick, but could not find any details on how to enable it in HPTuners.

Lucky you. Get a GPS unit for speed and have a low mileage car when your ready to trade it in.

It is amazing that there is so little concise info for this swap (on the electrical side of things). I mean, I can get mine inspected by rigging the lights and neutral safety, but it seems like the lazy way out. I intend to make this work like the 4l80e was there from the factory.

I have a th400 swap with reverse lights and sensors that work from an original manual car to make the reverse and sensors work u just have to jump the two wire connector on the factory harness through one of the switches on the shifter very simple the other switch is neutral safety it's same type of deal just jump the starter siliniod wire through the the other switch speed o works on my car from wheel speed sensors but anytime u clear the codes it will reset the sensor and it takes in my case a day or two prob 30 miles for it to start working again

FYI reverse lights and sensors will not work unless the car is running not just in the on position
