I drove my co-workers 15 Stingray a few times. To be honest, it feels more nimble and more track focus. Well, with a lower center of gravity and weighing 150-200 lbs less it should. Power wise, I felt it had the same punch as my 1SS.
Didn't red line it but gave it some good spirited driving. As far as what the magazine says, I believe the C7 stingray is a few tenths faster on the 1/4? But to me, they felt very similar with the Vette feeling lighter. My co-worker also drove my SS and said the exact same thing regarding the performance. He also said, if any C7 owners think the SS will be an easy win at the stop light, they better think again lol Once I add the lowering springs, a sway bar and a strut bar, the handling will improve dramatically. C7's are very nice cars nevertheless. Last edited by Richard0nee; 06-13-2016 at 02:20 AM. |
