What’s better GoodYear f1 Allseason or Summer. Does it change the ride at all?

So my 2017ss finally needed new tires so I called my dealership and asked about getting a new set (,which they price matched So I ended up going with my dealership . So I got my car back and realized they put on GoodYear f1 All season compared to my old stock ones which were summer So I want to know what the big difference is ... because since they put them on I’ve felt almost every bump on the road I don’t like how it isn’t as smooth as it was before. which surprises me, because I was driving before with not that much tread left. So is it the tires aren’t as good ? Or is it something else?

I find it surprising that all-season tires would be more jarring over bumps than well used stock Goodyear runflats with their "near concrete" sidewall, even if they are also runflats. Silly question, I know, but did you check tire pressures? Maybe they overinflated your new tires?

With that said, if you want a substantially better ride, you should consider non-runflats and have either an inflator kit, a spare tire or 1-2 cheap/free towing options as backup.

I wouldn't drive Summer only in anything under 45 degrees F. I live in Texas and we get maybe a month of sub 45 degree weather. If you live anywhere where you have extended winter temps, I'd go all season. Unless, you're ok with extended time without the car.

Are these the RunOnFlat version of that tire? If so, that’s why.

Since the dealer put them on, I would bet on it.
As to the big difference between summer vs. all-season, basically the all-season compound is softer allowing it to flex (not crack) in colder temps.

I switched from the Goodyear F1 RunOnFlat summer tires to non-runflat Continental DWS06+'s about a month ago. Way more comfortable ride and I can actually drive in light snow. Dry and wet grip are great.

If you were asking about the Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperCar 3R Tire, it has been the subject of numerous threads and posts here. It gets mixed reviews and you are well advised to read other's experiences on tires.

On my car, 3R was the most dangerous street tire I have ever owned. Great at warm dry road course, useless at strip, sketchy on the street.

The F1 SC3R was never even mentioned here. OP has an SS, and now the dealership put Goodyear F1 all-seasons on his car to replace the OEM Goodyear F1 runflats, hence his question.

I only read the thread title and assumed too much. I made my post a hypothetical.

I don’t understand why almost every bump I feel now when my tires before wasn’t as nearly as bad and they were small amount of tread left . Could the dealership put them on wrong ? I highly doubt the tires are that much different on comfort levels on the road.... the car isn’t as smooth which really makes it less enjoyable

This has nothing to do with it but I do have magnetic ride if that is a question from someone .

Strange, it's hard for me to think of how the tires could be installed "wrong" in a way that only affects the ride and nothing else...

Can you post a photo of these tires just to see what they are? From what I've found, the Goodyear Eagle F1 all-season isn't even made in the rear tire size for the SS, only the Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate is.

Also, does the ride quality change at all between MRC modes?

Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 275 35zr20 98Y
Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 245. 40zr20 95Y

I tend to drive it in sport mode the most... I switched to Tour mode thinking it did a bit but after a while I wasn’t to sure if it made any difference
