ZL1 VS GS VS GT350R experiences sharing.

How many of you have go head2head VS C7 Corvette Grand Sport or VS Shelby GT350R? I would be glad to hear your experience.
By the way Amazing Great cars your 6th. Gen ZL1s.

GS vette auto will walk the M6 zl1 if you don't shift correctly or if your not in the right gear on a roll race.. I was in 3rd and granny shifted through the gears from 60 start lost.. The next race 2nd and no lift shift was a fairly easy kill but wasn't like I was way out in front... the 1/4 mile times are dam near identical. Test drove the a M6 GS before I bought the ZL1.. I would of got the GS if the Zl1 hadn't been so easy to pick up a 100 rwhp and if I was was only tracking the car. The zl1 will do better in a straight line with the extra power... AutoX the smaller lighter vette has the advantage, on a longer faster road course the Zl1 should have a slight advantage but not by much shorter road course I'd give it to the GS unless the Zl1 was on slicks and the vette still on MPSS cup2. Have seen plenty of 350s at cars n coffee's but never while driving. I know they spin out easier..

If you ever mod the GS with a blower that would be awesome.. I sent a light blue grand sport to ALL Girls Garage they installed a Edelbrock blower to see if it would match the Z06 performance for a lessor price tag check it out on Velocity channel... We are featured on the show with a camaro SS with a 2300 eforce.. I know my wifes car is faster until I did lower pulley, headers, and tune.. so the results should be even better on a vette.

I haven't run into a GS Vette that's been in a playful mood. lol

My neighbor has the Shelby and we have some fun on a regular basis. With the auto ZL1 it's no contest. I pull on him all day long. From a dig, from a roll at various speeds, it doesn't matter.

Didn't imagine that the GS was almost H2H with the awesome ZL1. Probably because it's lighter and has wider tire (Z07 package cup tire) advantage.

Me too. I sold my C6Z yesterday and as deadset as I am on a ZL1 every time I see a C7 GS or C7Z makes the decision difficult.

My ZL1 A10 WALKS my buddies C7 Grand Sport. Not even close. Both autos. In fact from a roll I run about dead even with C7 Z06. From a dead stop the Z's get me off the line.

Stock ZL1 1LE M6, raced my buddies C7 stingray with the LT1 it was an easy kill over and over. Is the GS any lighter? I know they both have the LT1 under the hood.

GT350 R is a slow car for straight line speed, its way too underpowered! But goddam does the GT350 R sound amazing in person.

As you can tell I've been having some fun, with 330's in the rear launching isn't an issue after the tires are properly heated up. I have no lag or bog issues with my M6.

He has a ZL1 1LE which runs a 12" wide rear which will accommodate a 325 all the way up to a 345 or even 355. I'm not sure if I've heard of a 330, perhaps he meant 325 or 335...I'm waiting for somebody to run the 345/30r19 NT05R like the Vette guys do. I bet it'll look awesome and hook too.

kicked Z06 all around the track. He finally let me around in 3 laps had pulled .5 lap in front of him. Found out after he was Brazilian race driver...

I am surprised on track I am basically dead even from 45-150 vs an M7 C7 Z06. The A8 cars are faster but most of them have on their hazards by the 3rd lap.

I have PDR video of me passing both a 350R and a C7 Z06 at WSIR yesterday at the opentrackracing.com event. Unfortunately later that day the 350R lost its motor. Love those cars but man too many engine failures on track it seems.

It was 100 Degrees yesterday and the ZLE was running low 1.28's in not good track conditions or temperatures. The Camaro ran strong all day long...love this car.
