Parts falling off

Got back from putting many miles on the car, needed to was it....
as I was washing it with my zaino approved materials, I got to the paasenger side and was washing the little chrome letters that spell C A M A R O and they started falling off in my hands... driver side was tight.. but they all came off on the passenger side... took it back to the dealer and they never saw anything like it, and reordered the parts...

so check them out guys and gals..... dont want these dropping on the highway....

other than that little problem... and one other small one with the odometer... the car ran hundreds of miles like a proud hound... flawless.. quite.. and comfortable...

love this car..
thank you GM... GREAT JOB ON THIS CAR!!!!

If it makes you feel any better, there are pics on the forum of people who have removed them to give a smoother look to the side.

The dealer installed the new one today.. said it was bad adhesive on the original. They also said they would update the software for the a/c since there was an update available for it.... nope.. nothing hot next to it except the sun shining on it...

I waxed my car the week I got it, those letters were tightly bonded on mine. Yours may be the one and only.

No disrespect, but your title is misleading making the car sound like it is a piece of junk. Maybe we should rename it, "Camaro letters fell off?"

The same thing happened with me - some of the "Pontiac" letters fell off from bad adhesive. That's what I get for being a bow-tie girl driving a Pontiac...

I waxed mine last weekend and the letters on both side seem ok. But this post reminds me of my first "muscle car", a 67 Mustang coupe bought in 1970 for college. Those letters did fall off in due time but that was because the rust was eating away the fender! It finally ended up as a MU T NG. Sold it and bought a Pontiac LeMans.

lol... mustang and challenger owners would NOT stop making fun of that, if they saw it in a parking lot :P

i would have to agree, it would look pretty damn cheap if it just read:
C RO

oooh, look at my cro XD

i hope it's not a common defect...
