What was the price difference when you were cross shopping them?
I never asked the price of the other...My mind was made after the test drive's, ZL1...

Indeed.

My point was, if you inject the price difference of the two ($15000 when new) into a 1LE using money smartly, some of these blokes could achieve their desired goals, and some more .

Re-building a ZL1 is one thing. Modding smart, using all your resources and know-how to mod a 1LE is an other.

It all depends on your goals, your budget, etc.

Nothing is written in stone here.

Nothing.

If you have the money, be wise, and buy the ZL1. Nothing compares unless you are stuck between a Z/28 and a ZL1... then it'd be a hard decision.

Sorry to hijack this thread, can anyone vouch for the zl1 6 speed manual over the 1le? Any differences in time between shifts or overall feel?

i catch your drift, but the ugly morning after, one would quickly realize, that the Z28 is the least daily driveable of the bunch. STIFFEST ride(if your roads sucks), no AC, one speaker, etc...and even more of a price gap between the ZL1 vs Z28 (with options when new), as opposed to a 1LE vs ZL1 price gap!

Lol

Having owned a 2014 1LE and now a 2015 ZL1, I can truly say the ZL1 is by far the better choice. The ride, power and looks can't be copied with mods. Buy the ZL1.
