My point was, if you inject the price difference of the two ($15000 when new) into a 1LE using money smartly, some of these blokes could achieve their desired goals, and some more . Re-building a ZL1 is one thing. Modding smart, using all your resources and know-how to mod a 1LE is an other. It all depends on your goals, your budget, etc. Nothing is written in stone here. Nothing. |

If you have the money, be wise, and buy the ZL1. Nothing compares unless you are stuck between a Z/28 and a ZL1... then it'd be a hard decision.

Sorry to hijack this thread, can anyone vouch for the zl1 6 speed manual over the 1le? Any differences in time between shifts or overall feel?

Having owned a 2014 1LE and now a 2015 ZL1, I can truly say the ZL1 is by far the better choice. The ride, power and looks can't be copied with mods. Buy the ZL1.
