Love it. Think the camaro will have an HID option?

I'd be willing to bet we'd see Zenon lamps as an option on the car or even better, LEDs. THAT, would be sweet.

I think an appearance package option in the form of the RS moniker would be very cool. Maybe some subtle ground effects, spoilers, so-on. I think it should be what the appearance package for the 4th. Gens. was on those cars. Assuming there is a Z28 (and assuming it will be the top dog model) I think it should have different appearance from a standard V8 car and not just automatically add an appearance package; more function than appearance is what I mean. I think a hood like on the TF2 Bumblebee car would be really nice; the more I look at the front bumper, the more I don't think I like it as much as I had - or maybe it's because Saleen may be offering it on his SMS cars...

Someone please go out and take some new pics of this Silver SS. Why no more spy photo's. We are closing in on the release, the pics should increase in my opinion to generate even more buzz..

Hey chev454, I'd love to take you on a ride in my '07 Trailblazer SS and let you feel how crazy it is to have a 2+Ton 4 door hauling 4 people do 0-60 in 5ish seconds... Maybe when I get home from Iraq. Until then, stop hating on my ride, man... It has the style, power, upgrades, and all around performance to deserve the SS badges it proudly wears. That, and it does what ANY SS should do, it'll embarrass MANY cars/trucks that are dumb enough to try to beat me from a light.

It's not a Camaro SS, but it still hauls ass.

I still doubt the 3.5 will make it to any Camaro - that's an archaic engine on it's way out.
I thought the 3.5 &3.9 were both all new in 2006?????

Yes but if I'm not mistaken, they are based off the 3.1 and 3.4 motors we have had forever now.

I'll second that on the Trailblazer SS. I got into it with one while my LS1 TA was still stock. It was every bit as fast as my car up to around 70. That's one vehicle worthy of the SS nameplate.

It is such a shame that this beautiful car is being released when gas prices are breaking record highs each day. I am still incredibly enthusiastic about it's release, but I am also concerned about its success. Of course it will have great initial sales figures, but can it be sustained once the "newness" wears off? It is just a shame that they couldn't have pushed it out a year to a year-and-a-half earlier when gas prices were still under $3.00/gal.

The LS2 was new in 2006 as well. GM's engines seem to be getting shorter runs in the race for efficiency and power.

That is true, but there are 3 problems with those pictures:

1) they are the concept not production
2) they colours don't show very well, for example imperial blue looks kinda purple
3) it doesn't show the SS

We are working on an 'in house' solution to all those though
