New ERL motor is tuned for road course action - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I just finished with my tuning session at RPM in Delaware for my road course setup. The mods are as follows:

ERL LS2 block sleeved to LS7 bore with LS7 crank. Still displaces 7.0L. Forged pistons and crank. 11:5.1 compression.
B-3 Cam and Advanced Induction cylinder heads
ARH 1 7/8" headers...no cats.
MSD atomic airforce upper intake
Nick Williams 102mm TB
ATI balancer

The tune is conservative and the shop temp was 95 degrees and humid so take that into account...even with corrected dyno #s. Final #s were 575rwhp/500tq. I will post the graph later. It is so much smoother than before and very responsive. Can't wait to get it back to the track!

I kept the same LS7 oil pump, pan, tank, etc.

Did you consider a dry sump or accusump?

Z/28 is a dry sump from the factory. I retained all of the stock dry sump parts.

The way the LS7 oiling works its only part dry sump, there is still oil in the pan.

sure...maybe a quart or so in the sump. If I'm not mistaken, all dry sumps have some oil in the sump with the majority of the oil in the tank.

stock pcv system which appears closed. The Z/28 has a little extra tank on the side of the oil tank that the C6 Z06 doesn't have. It is t'ed into the pcv lines that connect to the valve covers. I may change it to an aftermarket setup if I have any issues with oil ingestion.
