tune/intake/exhaust. down rated? many factors can go into the difference of HP rating. so who's to say that if you put the two on a dyno they won't put down close/same numbers?

respectfully disagree. if it were that price gm would not sell 80k-100k cars a year. loaded 33k-35k for the RS/SS. and 26k for a loaded RS LT V-6.

base GT mustang comes in at what is it ummm 26,650. . .wow that's way off. and a loaded mustang comes in around 30. so to take a wild guess we aren't that far off if we say a V-6 comes in around 22-24 and a V-8 below 30k. and if you read the thread then you'd know they were joking about 22k for the RS/SS. before you start accusing people of breaking laws. |

Nice post without whacking someone over not reading all of the information on the Challenger.
I guess we will just have to wait and see what the actual pricing is. FBODFATHER has clearly stated it will be competitive in its class. I fully understand why it may be priced higher than the Mustang. It is a somewhat more technologically advanced vehicle. I just hope it is affordable and in my price range. (HINT- Keep the SS around $30k!)

My opinion on pricing, and the what I think is logicial in pricing:
Mustang V6 < Camaro LS < Challenger SE Mustang V6 loaded < Camaro LT/RS > Challenger SE loaded Mustang GT < Camaro SS1 < Challenger R/T Mustang GT Premium < Camaro SS2/RS = Challenger R/T Classic

Anyone that expects a fully optioned Camaro to come in at $30k is going to be very disappointed IMHO. The only thing that is certain is that it will be very competitive with the Mustang and Challenger. |

RS\SS will be around 32kish, the only way there will be a 40k SS is if you wait until the 2011's come out and get nav, hud, factory ground effects kit and spoiler(as seen on the red car) some SE wheels. If the SS is 40K it will last as long as a tank of gas in a Ha ha Hemi.
