Frustrated with wheel hop

Earlier this year I installed solid subframe bushings, bmr toe rods and trailing arms with the outer bushing, and the upper rear control arm bushing since bmr sold them as a kit. I was thinking this would be enough to at least give me a solid improvement. I know I need to do diff bushings and have some Hendrix offset bushings waiting to go in when I do my 3.91/1le diff in a few weeks.

I do have older bfg comp 2s like 5 years old. Maybe more forgot the date code. On the street I'd notice some hop but it's been under 40 degrees pretty much every time I've had the car out and figured the tires wernt happy in the cold. I made it to the track today in the low 60s and still had an unnoticeable improvement. So bad that I aborted the second pass and called it a day.

I am kind of having a hard time blaming this on the diff bushings alone I know it's a common requirment. The wheel hop is as violent as it was when the car was bone stock. So, I am wondering if I Could I also blame the aged all season tires? I know my setup is incomplete, just looking for some input to ease my mind while I save for a better tire and get ready too do my diff with the bushings, headers, intake and a tune.

I have pretty much the same rear setup. Lowered to not lowered and 440rwhp to 680rwhp. Street tires to Drag radials. Never wheel hopped. Check your alignment.

I second that, have the alignment done that is more suited for drag racing.

Yes. Forgot to mention I have bmr 1.25 drop springs. Thats why I choose the offset bushings. I know they arnt needed at a mild drop but figured the added axle angle couldn't be a bad thing.

And I did the alignment myself on a friend's rack. Set toe camber across the board to one degree. Figured I should keep some street manners but figured those settings would be conservative enough to keep rolling resistance down and I couldn't physically get the rear camber past -1 degree anyways with the stock bolts.

Actually looked at alignment specs. And see that maybe I have too much toe though. Maybe I should have done that before i aligned it instead of just picking a number and shooting for it.

I have similar suspension but with camber bolts and run 0.00 camber with around .12 toe on each side. No wheel hop. 1.5 -1.6 60 ft consistently. The most I could get out of the stock bolts was -.4 camber, the camber bolts helped get me where I wanted to be

I'll see if I can get my car back on the rack soon and pick up some camber adjusters. Should I be looking at toe adjusters too or do they typically have enough? I'll search too.

You can get the bolts from BMR or SPC, the camber bolt package is like 30 bucks and you get both bolts for camber and toe.

yeah, +1 for alignment check. You have pretty much every part to solve the wheelhop issue. The trailing arms, outer ta bushing, and toe rods alone got rid of most of it on my car. to solid cradle mounts and rear upper c/a bracket and bushings were the final nail in the coffin
