Better than before!

I was hit in a car accident in March. After 6 months in the body shop, I have my car back. I was impressed with the quarter panel replacement as well as the wheel well and carpet. Just thought I'd share a positive outcome from a horrible experience.

Looking good indeed, a great repair, panel gaps are spot on, you just need some paint correction to get rid of the swirls (and a valiant attempt not to put them back in the next day, heh).

A good body shop is worth their weight in gold, so to speak. I know from experience, unfortunately, but similarly to your car, mine came back actually better than factory after 2 months in the body shop, and I'm not exaggerating. I even checked paint depth with a gauge, the new and blended panels have the same paint thickness, the only way one can tell what happened is that the new OEM underhood body parts are clearcoated whereas the original 2018 ones are not, they're only painted (no idea why GM does that.)

Is that the tire that was in the wreck? It looks untouched.
