Supercharger options?
Ok I'm looking to purchase a supercharger for my C7. I like the price on the Procharger system but I don't know anything about them. What do you guys think about Procharger? Are they any good or do you get what you pay for?
Or should I go with another manufacturer like Edelbrock or Magnuson? |

It all comes down to preference. And what you're going to be doing with it. If you're just running from stop light to stop light, I'd probably say the maggy. But if you're running a lot, more than 4 light in a row per say or on a highway, I'd go procharger. Both are good though. What price did you find on the procharger? Was it a D-1 or F-1?

procharger also offers a warranty option which is a good selling point. They are saying 575+RWHP which is some pretty solid numbers.

Pardon my caution, but going with a supercharger on a C7 is risky at best. After extensive conversations with professional Corvette builders - we have two of the very best here in Houston - all are concerned about getting adequate fuel delivery. When you carefully read the details of the upcoming C7 Z06 option, you will see that Chevy upgraded the flow rate for the injectors and made infrastructure changes to match. I have heard from reliable sources that a number of C7 engines have been blown during the development of C7 supercharger integrations. IMHO it's very early to get on the C7 supercharger elevator.

Most supercharger kits come with new injectors, pumps, etc.
I say go for it!

Bingo! Supercharging the C7 is just a little more expensive that's all.

They also offer a meth injection option to add additional fuel for those daring enough to exceed 600 ft lb of torque at the crank. The ZO6 fuel pump will be available soon enough and LPE has some parts in development to address the fueling issues. Ted.

Any update of this thread? My wife and I are wanting to add a supercharger to our Z51 3LT Stingray. We've read several articles and are leaning towards the Magnuson Supercharger. 460hp is nice but 600-650hp (or more) is on our soon-to-do bucket list.

I am very Pleased and impressed by the ECS system for the C7, Very reasonably priced, Very easy to install and lots of Potential. Take a good hard look at ECS and give me a call with any questions. I have been doing this for nearly 28 years professionally and I am not impressed easily. Ted.
