I placed an order 2 weeks ago. My dealer is waiting to hear back from GM. I'll let you know what they say.

My build sheets shows the same thing GMs website shows. 82k for radiant red and an A10.

Your best bet will be used, and frankly, is there even a significant difference between 18'-current...?? Though used may not be "deals", I just got a walk-up all cash offer for $70k for mine.

Place an order with one or two high-turn dealerships that promise a refundable deposit and window shop used ones while you wait to see if your order gets picked up.

I placed an order for a ZLE back in 2021. Waited a year with no movement past 1100. Placed a second order for the exact same build with a bigger name dealership, waited 4+ months with no movement past 1100.

Found a used 2021 ZLE out of state with my specs for a reasonable price and only 2200 miles on it.

From my personal experience waiting nearly over a year, getting a ZLE built is next to impossible. Cross your fingers and keep checking cargurus for one that matches what you’re looking for at the right price and condition even if it’s another state. Shipping a car across states isn’t too much of an expensive all things considered and you’ll save yourself a lot of stress/money waiting for a car that might never be built.

Is that the actual numbers for ZLE’s per year?

In 2020 they made 572 ZLE's, of which 202 were manuals.

In 2021 they made 653 ZLE's, of which 262 were manuals.

I haven't seen the 2022 numbers posted.

My dealer could not guarantee me a zle and already has a line of 5 people. He said even a zl1 would be tough because I wanted the manual and those are hard to get.

I endedup buying a CPO ZLE at a different dealer at “winter pricing”. So not only did i save a bit, but i also got the longer warranty

Hey all!!!!

I was able to order a new ZL1 1LE. It arrived on Tuesday last week. I ordered it in November 2022 the day after I posted this thead.

I called a couple local dealers and found one that said they might have a small chance to get one because they sold one recently. We got lucky and the order went through. Pretty stoked to say the least!

Black M6 ZL1 1LE w PDR, Nav, Red Seatbelts

I am wondering if Chevrolet is making more of these or if I just got lucky?

Have others been able to order and get a quick order pickup and delivery as well?

I did get mine at MSRP with a $500 GM Military discount applied as well.

I did a nationwide search on GMs site and it looks like there are 19 other ZL1 1LE that have been built either in transit or at dealers.

I hope everyone gets one that wants one!!!

In the back of my mind I am still wondering if GM is going to do something special for the ZL1 1LE or maybe the SS 1le...and maybe I ordered mine too soon?

What do you guys think?

I would love an SS 1le with the ZL1 1LE treatment...front and rear aero and Multimatic suspension with hard mounted parts and 60 lbs lighter...

Good luck all!!!

Congrats and you were definitely lucky.

I placed my order with a few high volume dealers last fall and none of my orders have been picked up with GM yet.

Congrats! Is the carbon dash still an option? I saw a 23 on AT a few weeks ago with it. Haven't seen any others.

Any feedback would be helpful!

Thanks!

Mike
I had an order for a new 2023/2024 ZL1 1LE A10 with a high-volume Chevy dealer, although they candidly told me they could not guarantee 100% they'd be able to get me a 1LE before production ceased. Thus, I also searched for inbound cars on chevy.com and contacted dealers. I got a call from one of the dealers about a new 2023 ZLE that arrived somewhat by a fluke. I pounced, trading my 2018 ZLE M6. I'm glad I did, for I may not have been able to secure a new one through the regular order process. I had 29k miles on my 2018, with a fair amount of hard track usage, so I wanted a fresh ZLE for a DD and track car. I miss my M6 ZLE, but being in my 70s, it seemed prudent to get the A10 for simplicity, to go easy on my knees, and to eliminate the risk of a missed shift. Thus, I should be set as I ride off into the sunset over the next several years! :-)
