It never routes you based off traffic. So it's trash anyway. Google maps work just fine for me.

Well, working at BMW, this price isn't bad.

New NAV updates are $200 just for the update code, then add another hour ($140) for the tech to install it. Yes, has to be installed by a tech. haha

purchased and returned the 2016 update. It did not have a local 3 year highway. when the 2017 update was announced I asked them to confirm the highway is included and was told they could not tell me that. I told them google has had it soon after pavement cooled down, why not just adopt the google maps. No more plans to update.

For $150+ I'd want a pretty substantial upgrade. Would be nice if they actually overhauled the MyLink system so it wasn't as ugly. Preferably, they should allow an option to upgrade the hardware to the latest MyLink that the 6th gen offers, complete with CarPlay support.

This is why I went out of my way to buy a car without a nav system. They come out of the factory looking very outdated, and even simple (and very minor) software updates are a pain.

Looks like an operating system that would be run on a Palm Pilot in the early 2000's...
