no but I have a 13 with electric PS.... I did opt for the relocate of the washer bottle and a scoop also. You may want to make sure your tube is all the way into the band for the TB so it lessens the angle, also I noticed its important to keep the MAF tight when cleaning it..got a code once and its seal is real important. I do tuck the lid in on the right into the area under the pinch weld and engine bay weather stripping. And the area it fits is tight so anything in the way you may want to look at and get the box geometry right.

yea i’m going to remove the washer bottle, never use it anyhow. i have the bumper scoop but kinda lazy with this weather and humidity. even with the tube shoved all the way against the TB it’s still like that, like it’s a little to long, either the tube or air box. where did you find those coil covers?

That's exactly how mine installed and it seemed a little odd. Still works fine and was able to finish the installation. Just didn't mount up quite as flush and straight as I thought it would. I emailed CAI even about one of the clamps not tightening correctly as it was stripped somehow already and I never heard back from them. Makes me want to email them and ask them about this as well but not sure I would receive a response. Seems like a new intake tube with less of 90 in it would take care of the issue

Yeah I'm curious to see what they say. I will have to follow this thread to see because if it results in being sent a new elbow I'm going to be picky and do the same. Bugs me how it doesn't exactly mount up flush.

Huh!?

The hole in the sheet metal box drives location one end of tube, throttle body connection the other. Tube is one piece, goes in one way. Not sure how they thing install is wrong.

Maybe perspective of pics but looks like hole in sheet metal is rear more than mine?? And possibly portion of tube at throttle body looks longer plus bend radius looks bigger. All causing tube to be at angle rather than more straight across car??

that’s basically what i told them. they wanted me to loosen all the clamps and move it in closer to the throttle body but obviously i can’t let it touch the TB. i am not sure if it’s to long or the angle is wrong. half tempted to buy another if they don’t want to fix it.

My air tube is tight up to the TB and have never had a problem with it.
