First time out....
Had the local "Camaro5" Night at the Drag Strip here in Albuquerque, NM.
Track Elevation is 5295.3ft. Tonights DA at 5:00pm was 7850ft and by 8:00pm had dropped to 7219 ft. With that said, we got there as the first tree was lit right around 7ish and here were my times that we ran on the stock P-Zeros with 20psi of air and all Traction assistance tools OFF unless noted: 14.333/107.120 (6:56) 14.222/105.370 (7:02) 13.941/104.545 (7:09) 14.008/103.874 (7:36) 14.305/102.141 (7:43) 14.462/102.307 (7:48) 14.296/105.390 (7:53) 14.297/105.916 (7:57) 14.053/106.797 (9:07)* 13.861/105.982 (9:16)* 13.918/105.743 (9:25) * Comp Mode Best RT of the night was a .282 Best 60' time was 2.389 Had a great time, I could say that Comp Mode seemed to be the most easiest to use since you really just floored it and the PCM controlled most of the launch. Turning everything off really makes it a more fun car to launch. It took a heck of a bunch of tries at all kinds of RPM's to figure out what worked and that was the most fun out of all of it. Not one of the 5 C5's that were out there tonight could hook up. Definitely taking the DR's along next time..... This was the first time a 5th Gen N/A Camaro broke into the 13's here at this track. There have been a couple Maggies and Motiva TT cars that run 12s consistently. A great time for everyone tonight and another milestone for The Sizzle... SMS 9/11/10
What a better day to praise being an American and remembering those who gave all on 9/11 then to take it to the track......
First time out today since taking the SS offroad. Felt interestingly enough tough to go out right away with the first few heats. After a while, I broke her out and took her gently for a few laps. Once I felt comfortable, we let loose. What a feelin'!! Good times and I'm glad she's back on track...literally. Enjoy, Ivan |

Thanks Kelly! It's darn hard to keep up with some of you guys and all the lighting you do. Man, doesn't their stuff just take it to that next level?? I can't wait for their next product. Again, thank you for dropping in and saying something about the Camaro....makes it worth it to see the "Big Dogs" make appearances in our Member's Journals. Ivan @ Southwest Speed |

Been slammed with work and the Holidays...finally found a minute to install the MBRP Tips we've had sitting here waiting on us!
While we were there, we went ahead and did some Tail Light & Sidemarker Tinting. Never really wanted to tint them, but figured I'd try it out. Really glad that I did. Looks meaner and wider to me. ...??!!... Enjoy! Ivan |
