Calendar shows Motor Trend has Laguna Seca rented next week for two days 6/6 & 6/7. Car & Driver ran Lightning Lap 5/22 - 5/25. It rained a bunch, so, I hope they got dry laps for all the cars for it.

Christian Seabaugh of MT posted a picture of a blue Grand Sport and #MTBDC. So Grand Sport is definitely in. Maybe in addition to that we'll be surprised with the ZL1 1LE being included. We'll see.

IIRC they only bring 1 car from 1 manufacturer to MTBDC.

that is why there was no Grand Sport last year, and no Focus RS ETC

For what it's worth, in 2015 they brought an ATS-V (auto and manual) and CTS-V. So there's still some hope!

They told me that their first choices from Chevy for last year was ZL1 and then the Grand Sport. Chevy told them the ZL1 wasn't ready yet and they said no on the Grand Sport because it's big reveal event was the same week as BDC filming so all of the Vette engineers/specialists were there, so they ended up with the 1LE. All of that is based on what the MT guys told me when I was out at Laguna last year while they were there.

All that said now that we know the Grand Sport is there I highly doubt the ZL1-1LE will make an appearance as well, kinda disappointing but oh well. Sorry to get some hopes up guys!!!

The GM key shown is not a Vette key of any sort. They are still using the old square key. It could be a Camaro key of some sort or it could be a new Malibu key as well.

If they were able to run dry laps at VIR for the LL there could be some really great times due to the fall repave. Last years LL was run on a deteriorating surface before the new repave.
