I watched that video and noticed a Motortrend Video to the right. "Lexus LFA vs. Nissan GTR". The Lexus barely beat it in the 1/4. For a 200k price difference I would have expected a bigger victory.

You don't pick the LFA, you get selected after an interview, and even then you can't buy it outright. You have to lease it first.

If you have so much money that you can throw it all away on a car like this, then more power to you. But even if I won the lottery tomorrow and there were more allocations for the LF-A in the states, there's no way in hell I'd waste my money on it.

Exactly the point.

People buy cars for different reasons. Just because YOU don't think it is worth the pricetag obviously is not a concern for the people who have already decided to get the LFA. If I had the money I would get one tomorrow.

The "magic" of AWD...

Consider this: the LFA's V10 is based on Toyota's Formula 1 engine technology, and makes 115 Hp/Liter, naturally aspirated, with a 9000 rpm redline. Street-ready, and certified.

The ZR1 makes 103 Hp/Liter, with an intercooled power-adder. To equal the LFA, the 6.2 needs to make Hennessey numbers and, in a Camaro, costs more than a base ZR1. Hennessey still has some for sale...Lexus doesn't...and Hennessey's production target (24) is 5% of Lexus...

The Ferrari 599XX, a track-only purpose-built darling with 720 n/a Hp from 6.0 Liters (120/L) barely surpasses the LFA...for a paltry $1,500,000 per copy... Yeah, they're all spoken for, too...
