ZL1 Died

1900 miles on her. I parked her in the garage Monday night and just went to take her out at lunch today and she was completely dead. The door locks wouldn't even work, though the trunk did. Jumped her then dropped her off at the dealership... Ideas?... I have read about ground and computer issues...

The dealership said the manual Vette's are parked in reverse which puts the cars into "sleep" mode. Shuts off all computers, their car were all going dead after 3-5 days so they called GM and they told them about the sleep mode. They weren't sure if our cars did it too, but they're gonna find out. Has anyone here ever heard of that?

So sitting at the dealership talking to the GM a pimple faced 16 yr old comes in driving a '15 GTR!!! He asks if he can test drive a Vette and they said not alone. He relied he just wants to sit in it and hear it. He says I like it can you clean it up and I'll be back to get it. They were like yea sure... He was driving a 120,000 car... Hour later he was back with dad... Dr. Dad... My orthopedic surgeon... The dealer had to pay him for the trade in on a 63,000 Vette... Who buys 16 year old kids cars like that??? I had a four door Oldsmobile I was occasionally allowed to use... Or my bike.

There are exceptions to the rule but kids like that can't appreciate something they didn't work for and how nice it is. I will likely be able to do the same for my son but he is starting out with a modest car that he has earned.
