Just say hi

What should I look for when buying an auto coffee maker?

Coffee is the favorite beverage for many people around the globe. Some people even cannot start a day without a cup of coffee. Some people feel relaxed and relieved when smelling coffee aroma around. If you still don’t know what to be concerned with when trying to buy the best coffee maker in the world , we are here to help. Below are the 5 things you need to consider:

1. The brewing time and temperature will result in the quality of your coffee, the cost of your machine, and the convenience.

The Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) and the European Brewing Center’s (ECBC) Seal of Approval recommend that the hot brewing should be at the temperature range of 195 – 205 degrees Fahrenheit (90.5 – 96 degree Celsius) and be completed within 4 and 6 minutes for the best results. Heating your coffee over 205 degrees tends to over-extract from the coffee grounds and delivers a bitter taste. Less than 4 minutes of brewing time does not provide enough exposure between hot water and coffee grounds, leading to under-extracted coffee with less aroma, oil, and taste.

An auto-drip machine, which is certified by the SCA and ECBC, is the best option for those who like the strong taste of coffee with the best flavor. Almost all of the best coffee maker brands in the standard drip coffee category meet this procedure, such as Bonavita, Breville, BUNN, Cuisinart, Ninja, and Technivorm Moccamaster.

K-cup machine would be ideal in case you want to save time during the coffee making preparation. Besides, you can have the same tastes of some famous coffee chains, such as Starbucks, Gloria Jean’s, The original Donut shop, Dunkin’ Donuts, which have sold their coffee pot with K-cup in the market.

2. How much you drink

If you do not need a full pot that ends up getting stale or losing taste when being not consumed within a particular time, a single-serve coffee maker is just right for you. It is designed to fulfill the demand of having only one cup of coffee at a specific time. Otherwise, in case you need coffee to stay awake all day long, go for a coffee machine which capacity of 10-12 cups.

3. Counter space

Remember that there is not only a coffee maker in your kitchen, and some models are just taking much more space than the others. Then, you have to estimate the fit of your countertop real estate and the coffee machine you intend to buy. And some units may fit beneath upper cabinets, but you’ll still need to pull out most of them when it’s time to fill the reservoir.

If you are not sure about the space when buying it, you should check the return policy and process of the online shopping page or store.

4. Type of carafe: glass vs. stainless steel and thermal

The glass carafe is visible for you to see the coffee while brewing it, and it is usually air-opened, letting the coffee aroma fill your home. Typically, the glass pot keeps coffee warm around 20-30 minutes. Meanwhile, the thermal pot can keep it hot up to 2 hours.

Another thing is that the glass carafe is often dishwasher-safe; you can put it into the dishwasher after using it while the thermal pot requires to be cleaned by hand.

5. Extra features

Check other special features that make your coffee making easier, modern, and more convenient. You can make the coffee even before waking up just with programmable settings that allow you to prepare and set the time in advance up to 24 hours. Other features include a built-in grinder, auto shutoff, multiple warmers, integrated frother, etc.

Finally, you might consider other things, such as price and shopping options. But even if you pay for a high-end coffee machine, do not let the upfront cost scare you. A cup of home-made coffee from the best coffee makers deserves more than cups of coffee in Starbucks or any coffee shop around.

Kang, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
