Bunch of whining going on here. You can have two tenths difference between the same cars. Two tenths difference between tire types. Two tenths or more between drivers.

6.2L is a low down torque motor. Coyote can't match the 6.2 down low but can out run it due to higher revs. I bet you run the cars all day and you get darned near a draw. Now put them on a circular track and the Camaro will smoke it and just spirited driving around town the Mustang is just soft compared to the Camaro. Make your decision on that but if it is 1/4 mile or bust times then find another car to make you happy.

Just put a Pro Charger on it. Turn the NOS timer, you'll run 9's. I know because Jesse said so.

Serious question, but how is it that the new Mustang GTs with the same A10 are dipping into the 11s, while being a heavier car with only 5hp more and tons of torque less than a '19 SS?

You're comparing magazine tests with real world drag strip times. There is zero comparison. I'm sure once the 19's hit the track this spring we will see them hitting 11's just the same as the 16-18's were able to do and running neck and neck with the Mustangs.

Car and Driver just tested the car.

3.9 zero to sixty
12.2 @ 118 in the quarter

https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews...y-the-numbers/

Pretty sure they got numbers like that with the 16 also...which they do mention.

Hello from Bavaria,

Are there no longer specs, test data and the test sheet availible on the caranddriver website?
As they used to be in the past?
Or ie this a EU-specific problem (the entire website was not availible for several months until the End of February)

Here is the direct link to the test sheet itself, and downloadable:

My guess on the Motor Trend test is that they may be using California’s winter blend gas if it was done there but it could be just the difference in drivers.

Yeah, I remember one time there was a massive disparity in....of all things....Kia Sportage 0-60 times. C&D was nearly a second faster, and had a note that there was a trick to launching them, which saves almost a second. MT didn't figure it out I guess, and C&D usually has the faster times unless Pobst is doing the driving.

Regarding the article, given the second comparison with the 2019 is done with an A10 vs an A8, they mention that he couldn't go below 3rd gear without damn near going sideways. Note that 3rd Gear in an A10 is probably fairly similarly ratio'd to 2nd gear in an A8 which may be why he was having trouble going below that.
