Front bowtie loose

Is it just me or have other owners noticed the same issue? I was masking off the front bowtie to paint it black, and while doing so, the whole badge was very loose, theres enough play to wiggle it up down left and right are all badges like this or does mine just have a broken tab or something?

Yeah probably a broken tab… I wouldn’t mess with that.... I’d take the easy way out and go get some 3M VHB trim tape from the auto parts store, slide a piece down the back and push on it , it will never move again.

Mine has had this as well since delivery, I mentioned it when I took it for the first oil change and the dealer said they'd order a replacement and tell me when it was in, never happened.

Is not normal, a lot of them are not grabbing all the tabs, when it does, it’s rock solid. See my post above about the cheating way to fix it.

I pried mine off and replaced it with a black GM bowtie and noticed the same thing.

I can move mine up, down, left, right, but it's a pretty tight fit. It takes a bit of effort to move it. If you move it up, it stays in position. It feels pretty solid. So I wouldn't necessarily call it "loose". I doubt it's moving around as I drive.
