Start with Solo HF Cats and a CAI, you'll notice a big difference in sound volume.

Get some Long Tube headers and HF cats and leave the fuse pulled. It's a great improvement in sound and volume.

It sounds great with headers and either HF cats or catalytic delete.

So if the NPP has cutouts, I don't understand the logic of the OP thinking straight pipes will be any different.

What am I missing?

This a good way to go! Or at a minimum HF cats or no-cats and pull the fuse. I'm running Pfadt LTs w/HF cats and the fuse pulled and it sounds tough.

You're going to get a lot of opinions regarding this and how to achieve what you're looking for. Set a budget and start digging.

This. The NPP sounds good with headers. And if that is not enough add the Retro Chambered cat back and .
