Can my 800hp camaro beat Z06 on Pocono TriOval

I took Z06 there. My camaro is faster straight line But doesn't brake as good or handling as good..
Though camaro has APRacing 15.5" brakes ds3000 pads.. 1LE suspension plus eibach springs.
Took camaro to road course wasnt bad even though had zero degree camber and drag radials on. Was there to datalog really haha..
Do u think camaro can hit a higher top speed? Should i try it next year.

Drag limited more and with added weight and just 1le suspension not much for handling, you could hit about 170 given enough space built with the limiter off but don't want drag radials that's for sure. There of course have been the Texas mile Camaros over the years, the real deal is why not? Then again you could destroy the thing and 1le suspension is of course upgraded all the time.

To answer your title question, given equally experienced/skilled drivers - no. You might gain some advantage in the stretches, but will not be able to handle the corners/turns at the same speeds as the ZO6. That being said, you'll have a heck of a lot of fun trying

On average ill probably exit turn about 10mph slower even if perfect.. they just plan ol' street tires nothing great..

well straight line the camaro is faster i tested.. but granted not at speeds over 150mph.. with down force z06 even though not z07 not that aerodynamic either..

yeah def can not do same speed.. even with z06 on cold tires those tires alot more cripper and car is about 600lbs lighter and lower center of gravity..

but will the extra 150wHP and extra 0.66 on power to weight.. power to drag more important at that speed though..
guess worth a shot .. might get better tires though and do a track alignment which other time at pocono with camaro i didnt have track alignment.. or 1LE suspension didnt have iron block then either..
just expensive day
