So to update this thread, I ended up getting a 2016 hyper blue 2SS A8 with magnetic ride control, dual mode exhaust and ceramic white interior . I saw a great deal that I couldn't pass up so I flew to Las Vegas and drove back 10 hours and a half, on the same day. I still have the Corvette but will patiently wait for a buyer to come through so I can get a lower car payment and do some appearance mods

Former C6 owner here - had two Z51 manual LS2 cars. And just picked up a similar SS hyperblue vert to yours, but more of a stripped car - 1SS, no options. I am perfectly happy with the car and feel the interior is miles ahead of the C6 in every way. It's much more in line with BMW's that I also own - not quite as nice, but now at least acceptable to me in a sports / muscle car.

What impressed me the most with the SS vs. the C6 from a driving perspective is the chassis stiffness, steering feel, brake feel and power, the shifter, and the seating position. The handling and grip seem pretty close to on par with a Z51 C6 and the power delivery also similar - considering both are mid 12 second cars at 115 or so. The corvette is lighter, but because it's so wide it never feels nimble or "tossable" - which is why I say the Camaro feels very similar in the handling dept. despite more weight - especially in the convertible format that I got.

Even as a weekend road trip car - I prefer the SS to the C6, and so does my wife. She hated riding in the C6 - too low and wrapped around you. That's good for the driver as it feels like driving a race car - which basically it is, just in street trim. The Camaro feels a lot more like a regular car which is a good thing. More interior space - more comfortable, easier to get in and out of, and just better on a long drive. That is going to be one of the main uses for ours - long drives to visit our kids at college - the added bonus is a rear seat so 3 of us can drive around once we get there. That doesn't work in a vette so we just would never take it. I sold my last C6 about 4.5 years ago and our weekend car was a BMW 328i convertible - nice car, but the SS is much more to my liking - pretty much a perfect blend between the BMW and a C6.

Wow i'm usually not into convertibles but your car looks great with the rag top. I can just imagine it with the top down! Yea the 6th gen camaro is just a car that can do everything not just go fast.
