I bet one of our forum sponser dealers would be more than happy to help you out and will more than likely ship a car to you and bring your trade back to them. I would contact one before dealing with those jackleg dealers you have dealt with in the past.............Good luck and hope to see pics of your black SS soon! I believe Camaroscotty has a black 2SS in stock right now , if I remember correctly

the first week you pick it up stop by the dealers that haven't been that helpful to "shop" in the accessories store.... just look around for a few minutes then leave... on your way out of the dealership make a big "victory lap" with your permagrin.

Unless you can find the options/trim you want sitting on a lot, I think the best thing for you to do is to order one through a dealer that has available immediate allocation.
If you order, make sure you agree on a price no more than of invoice(the 310 price on the invoice sheet)+tax+registration fee before you put down a deposit, if any. As far as interest rates, your wife's main bank should be able to give you a good rate unless she already has too much debt for her income. |

You can really get a car at invoice? Meaning that number that is a good $1000.00 below MSRP. |

No excuses for the sales folks that didn't return phone calls, just poor salesmanship! You made a big mistake as well when you went back on your word after you shook on a deal. That may have gotten around to all the dealerships and their sales folks may be black balling you.

They make plenty of money even at invoice because after all is said and done, they pay much less than the invoice amount. I am paying invoice + $292 dealership fee - $750 USAA discount = invoice - $358 for a 2011 coming off the factory with my options. I should have fought to get rid of the $292 dealership fee as well. The dealership will generally charge you as much as you let them right up to the sticker price and try to add on all kinds of silly charges. You just have to draw the line and let them know, either invoice or you walk. |

Seriously, just order the car to your specs. I waited 6 months (last year) for my car, but it is so EFFING worth the wait!!!

+1, You did something wrong and they felt their time was not worth it b/c you would probably play the game again. No trying to be rude, but you did screw yourself.

Continue to look at credit union financing, order your car. After all is said and done, with your new ride in your garage..Then get your woman to write a letter (woman are usually better at this) to the office of the president of G.M. (about all the Dealers involved)..You may not get any money back, or free gifts...BUT G.M. will chew out the dealers concerned for sure. This is something you may not hear about, but the pen to paper approach should give you some peace of mind. And you will sleep fine..

If you were here in Texas I'd say go see Bill Persings at Lynn Smith Chevrolet. They've always done me right.
