No you don't. I was riding for less than a month. Took my stock 2011 gsxr750 to the track and ran a 10.71 at 134 mph with only a 1.9 60 foot. My buddie 60 foots in the 1.6's stock wheel base and strapped down for comparison.

Bump / Revive .... 3rd time beating motorcycles that wanted it from a roll.... first time was a V-rod, not the fastest compared to quick cars, then I smoked a couple of 600 riders who tried repeatedly. Tonight had my 3rd encounter, had to be 600cc GSXR.... as a former biker who rode both heavily modified. The fact that I was able to leave a 600cc bike multiple times on Nitto Motivos throwing wheel speed sensor codes in triple digits amazes me. Don't think I would do so well against liter bikes.

I used to have a vrod, they are slow but great from a dig, up until 110mph.

Liter bike specially ones with quick shift you will need quite a bit of power plus having the perfect shifts. The bikes with quick shift are a game changer.
