100%

I'd be looking at an f1x head unit

Found the thread I was thinking about. Surprised I remember something from that long ago lol. It may have been more due to the large intercooler though.

He’s in LA traffic, which is not fun. Radiator is easy enough to remove.

D1x might get you to 1000rwhp, but I would think it would take quite a bit more boost to get there.

With smaller cubes and very high rpm maybe… This blower head unit on larger cubes will be generating lots of heat due to being on the fringe of the boost map at best… and I still don’t see it at 15 psi, but I’ve certainly been wrong before….

F1X would move the air needed without the heat problems IMO… Unfortunately, companies will advertise a blower or turbo will make X power… True , under very specific conditions…. And like car manufacturers, they don’t list RWHP in their ads, they list Crank HP….

I wish him success with this build though…

I’m not looking to go balls out on this build. Blower. Block. Fuel. Tires. Not too many cars around me, that I know of at least that’ll push this kind of power. Track wise different story..

Don't target a boost figure, it means little.

Bigger motor will make power more easily, but for the blower, I'd be inclined to stick with stock stroke, or at least a very good crank known for nose strength.

And whilst someone mentions an F1-X....usually F1-X is followed by failure if you read online. Not the most reliable unit out there.
Some of the smaller F1's might be better.

Or the ESS kit would be another option.

Old article, but same blower, same pulleys, different cube motors

https://www.streetmusclemag.com/tech...ower-vs-boost/

Obviously as mentioned blowers will have their limitations too if they cannot provide enough airflow.

That was a good read, however, I do wonder what the numbers would have been like if both motors were actually prepped the same (same heads, same camshaft, and CR)....

Seems to me that is how you would get a true indication of the gains to be had by just increasing displacement.
