Long tubes

I am wanting to do long tube headers.... with that being said who has the best prices on a set. Not worried about the brand.

If you have an A8 you should definitely worry about the brand. Only stainless works has afm valves or optional dummy mounts for the factory afm valves. Without those you will throw a code and it can not be tuned out by tuning software. Unless you get an axle back with afm valves or keep your stock afm valves, stainless works is your only choice. I got mine from RDP Store. Send them a PM and they will get you a price quote. It was way lower than what's listed on their website or anyone elses

If he's only doing the headers than it shouldn't matter as it wont come up to the AFM valves as they are back by axle is my understanding..

I just got kooks headers put in hooked up to the factory npp exhaust with fuse pull. Sounds amazing and insanely loud at full throttle. There are only few companies where you can just buy just the headers. Kooks, American racing headers, and hooker to name a few. SW won't sell you just the headers.

But no matter what brand you choose you won't be disappointed. The sound clarity and volume increase you will get from headers alone is unreal with the npp exhaust.

I think they have a factory connect option and performance connect option. You can buy just headers from SW pretty sure...

You can't. I called them specifically asking if I could buy just the headers with high flow cats. The guy told me it's not an option they offer. You can get them with mid pipes though.

http://stainlessworks.net/camaro-ss-2016-headers

strange...they need to update the website then. They specifically state they will bolt up to the factory connection point with an adapter.

True. I should have clarified that if you're getting headers and an x-pipe that goes all the way to the stock muffler, only stainless works offers afm valves or dummy mounts. Kooks and ARH don't. I know that there are some aftermarket x-pipe such as borla and flow master with afm valves but I'm not sure how easily they would connect to headers from another company

ARH is the preferred brand here, we have installed 5 now and the fit and finish is perfect. 2'' is also the better option on the new LT motors. We make C7 longtubes and during our testing tried all 3 of the popular sizes and the 2'' made more hp/tq all across the rpm band so we decided to only do a 2''.

Really I wish I would have know this before, seems like a lot of people only go to 2" when running boost or NOS? So even 2" is better for factory setup with minor bolt on changes such as CAI or ported TB?? how much more difference are we talking for hp/tq increases as well for 1 7/8 vs 2"?
