Seems to me that is how you would get a true indication of the gains to be had by just increasing displacement.

There will be variables either way, but there's no question starting with a larger motor, that makes more power n/a...with more air forced through it, you're starting from a better base.

Obviously there are other factors if you try and push a compressor way off it's map and try and supply air it cannot, but for most part people do not do that.

That Richard guy has a pretty good YouTube channel, however I wish the content he does actually compares apples to apples.

Most of the comparisons are still valid even if setups are not 100% identical.

Patterns form, this is what matters. It's the same the way some fools say he needs to test everything to the absolute limit, to destruction etc....which is utterly pointless when patterns and behaviours have already been proven to show the effect of different parts etc.
