My subframe got blasted and painted.

despite the fact that I managed to hijack my own thread....

I hate you right now...lol cus your car is farther along than mine...lol

but instead of an LS1, look for a vortec engine from a silverado, sierra, colorado, yukon, suburban, tahoe, trailblazer, etc.

my... long term plan includes a diesel swap for the truck and taking the 6.0L and dropping it in christine... with a turbo.

go look in my threads for the 9 second junkyard racer.

Haha but mine is 94% disassembled..... This is the way i bought it 2 months ago. Yeah.... sorry about the hijack........ Threads never go as they're planned...

I looked into the 6.0's, but by the time you convert the intake, oil pan, and get a t56, you're at or over a nice 70k mile LS1 t56 combo...
You can get an ls1 T56 all accessories for about 3-4k.

I'll go search for your thread.

you could get an LQ4 for around $500.00 a used LS2 car intake for $50.00, oil pan from a vette for another $50.00 or so (if the stock truck one wont fit) t56 for ~ $1500

still. 150k on a vortec engine is not bad. I'm pushing 150k on the one in my truck and I drive the piss out of it and have no concerns putting it into the camaro.

you could have a sub-100k engine that blows up just as easily as a 100k+ engine

well, things didn't pan out as planned when we first moved into this house. out of work for a few months, plus other things, then more stuff just kept getting piled into the garage to the point where you could barely walk through it.

that will change with the new house. it may still be packed, but it will be organized.

you should see the piles of boxes inside the house.

and thanks. I flew my wife around on memorial day for our anniversary over the new house for an extra treat.
